Steven M. Phillips Joins Jackson Lewis in Minneapolis
MINNEAPOLIS, MN (August 22, 2019) Jackson Lewis P.C., one of the country’s preeminent workplace law firms, is pleased to announce Steven M. Phillips has joined the firm’s Minneapolis office as a Principal. Mr. Phillips has over 25 years of trial and arbitration experience in employment and business litigation matters, and deep experience representing clients in the financial services industry.
“Steven is a tenacious trial attorney with extensive experience representing clients who are facing complex legal issues,” said Minneapolis Office Managing Principal and Office Litigation Manager Lee A. Lastovich. “He will not only add depth to our litigation capabilities in Minneapolis, but also for our clients nationwide.”
Mr. Phillips has represented employers in cases involving contract disputes, confidentiality agreements, non-compete and non-solicitation agreements, trade secrets, injunctive relief, employee “raiding,” defamation, and in partnership or shareholder disputes. Mr. Phillips has served as a mediator in investment related lawsuits and arbitrations. He has also represented both public and private companies in complex and class action litigation.
Mr. Phillips regularly appears in the state and federal courts across the country and has appeared in hundreds of arbitrations before the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA), the American Arbitration Association (AAA), and other tribunals.
Mr. Phillips earned his J.D. and his B.S. from the University of Minnesota.
