ORANGE COUNTY, CA (March 12, 2012) - Jackson Lewis LLP, one of the country’s largest and fastest-growing workplace law firms, is pleased to announce that Samantha N. Hoffman has assumed the role of Orange County office Managing Partner, succeeding Frank M. Liberatore. Mr. Liberatore, who has served in the role since October 2006 when the office first opened, is returning to the Los Angeles office, where he will assume the position of Litigation Coordinator and also assist the Los Angeles office as an experienced class action litigator and trial lawyer. Mr. Liberatore will continue to serve on the firm’s Management Committee
Ms. Hoffman, who is Co-Chair of Jackson Lewis’ Women’s Affinity Resource Group, has been a major contributor to the Orange County office since joining the firm in 2004. During her years at the firm she has amassed an impressive client roster and first-chaired many well-publicized litigation victories and settlements.
“We thank Frank for his tenure as Managing Partner, during which he did an outstanding job of establishing Jackson Lewis as one of the “go to” firms in Orange County,” said Patrick L. Vaccaro, Firm-Wide Managing Partner. “Under Mr. Liberatore’s leadership, the Orange County office has grown to 14 attorneys with prospects for significant additional growth. This was not an easy decision for the firm since our Orange County office was hitting its stride as one of our most successful offices. But our Los Angeles office is facing unprecedented growth and we needed someone of Frank’s ability and skill set to coordinate our ever-expanding case load. Also, we have someone in the Orange County office who has been there from the inception with the ability and tireless work ethic to lead the office. You could say we turned a difficult decision into a win-win situation and I look forward to helping Samantha elevate the office to even greater heights as she assumes the reins,” said Vaccaro.
“During her career at the firm, she has both acquired and managed a number of substantial firm clients but more importantly, has demonstrated both her value to the firm and clients by always providing quality legal work. In addition, Samantha has consistently shown a commitment to the success of both the office and Jackson Lewis as a whole, making her well-suited for this leadership position.”
“I am excited to assume the role as Managing Partner and work with the team of talented attorneys in the OC Office,” said Ms. Hoffman. “I am fortunate to be able to build upon the foundation that exists in the Office.”
Ms. Hoffman’s practice is focused on employment litigation as well as advice and counsel on a wide array of employment law issues. She has litigated single and multi-plaintiff cases, in both state and federal courts and in arbitration, as well as before state administrative agencies, on virtually all aspects of employment law from wage and hour to harassment, discrimination, disabilities cases, trade secrets, and ERISA. She also has experience handling class actions on wage and hour issues, with class size ranging from a few hundred employees to in excess of one hundred thousand employees including both California specific and nationwide class actions.
Ms. Hoffman has been recognized as a 2009 and 2010 Rising Star and selected for inclusion in Southern California SuperLawyers since 2011.
She received her B.A. in political science from the University of California, Irvine, in 1997; she earned her J.D. from Loyola Law School, Los Angeles, in 2000, where she was a member of Loyola Law Review. She also interned at the Western Law Center for Disability Rights focusing on disabilities rights law. Jackson Lewis’ Orange County office can be reached by calling (949) 885-1360.
