Richard C. Paul Joins Jackson Lewis in Memphis

MEMPHIS, TN (January 9, 2014) – Jackson Lewis P.C., one of the largest workplace law firms in the world representing management, is pleased to announce Richard (Rick) C. Paul has joined the firm’s Memphis office as Of Counsel.  Mr. Paul, who joins Jackson Lewis after serving as a Regional Counsel for FedEx Express for over a decade, has experience in all aspects of employment litigation, corporate compliance and workplace ethics issues, including investigations, training and policy development.

Mr. Paul began his career at FedEx Express in the Legal Department’s Employment Litigation Group, where he handled all aspects of litigation matters in state and federal courts across the United States. He later joined the Legal Department for FedEx’s Latin America and Caribbean Division, where he managed legal matters arising in the company’s Puerto Rico and Caribbean Region.  Mr. Paul routinely handled complex commercial transactions, litigation, employment counseling and corporate governance affairs for the Division.  In 2010, he received the company’s Corporate Five Star Award for his work developing the LAC Division Ethics, Anti-bribery and Antitrust compliance programs.

Mr. Paul, a former Naval Aviator, is a licensed commercial pilot, aerospace engineer and member of the Experimental Aircraft Association.  He received his B.S. in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Southern California and his J.D. from the University of Memphis Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law, where he served as Comments Editor on the Law Review Editorial Board.  He is admitted to practice in Tennessee.
