Prominent Virginia Employment Lawyer Joins Jackson Lewis LLP

WASHINGTON (July 8, 2008) – Jackson Lewis LLP – one of the country's largest and fastest growing workplace law firms – announced today that Misti Mukherjee has joined the firm's Washington, D.C. Region office as a partner. She was formerly a shareholder in the Northern Virginia firm Odin, Feldman & Pittleman, P.C. and co-chair of its Labor & Employment practice group. She is the fourth partner to join the D.C. Region office this year, including Bradford Hammock, Garen Dodge and Paul DeCamp.

Ms. Mukherjee has practiced management-side employment law in the Washington DC area for 17 years. Ms. Mukherjee is co-founder of the Executive Women's Roundtable, Inc., and has been named to Virginia's Labor and Employment Legal Elite by Virginia Business magazine and has been designated a Super Lawyer in both Virginia and Washington, D.C. for Employment & Labor Law. She is a frequent speaker on topics of human resources trends and employment practices for the Society for of Human Resource Management and other professional organizations.

Ms. Mukherjee partners with her clients to develop creative and strategic solutions to a wide array of employment law issues, including employment discrimination, performance counseling, wage payment, discipline, termination, mass layoffs, family and medical leave, disability accommodation, defamation, COBRA and Sarbanes Oxley compliance. She negotiates and drafts agreements related to executive employment, equity compensation, consulting, confidentiality, restrictive covenants and severance. She advises executive management and human resources professionals on the development, implementation and enforcement of personnel policies and risk management tools, and she is a sought-after trainer of human resources professionals, executives and line managers regarding best practices and compliance with evolving employment laws. Her clients include businesses, non-profit organizations and trade associations.

She has twice served as a Judge for the HR Leadership Awards of Greater Washington, she is the Immediate Past President of The Madeira School Alumnae Association, she is a Trustee of The Madeira School, and she serves on Marymount University's Reston Campus Advisory Board.

Ms. Mukherjee received her undergraduate and law degrees from the University of Texas and is admitted to practice law in the state of Virginia and District of Columbia.
