Prominent Litigator Joins Jackson Lewis LLP in Morristown

MORRISTOWN, N.J. (February 23, 2011) – Jackson Lewis LLP, one of the country’s largest and fastest growing workplace law firms, announced that Martin (Marty) Aron has joined the firm as Partner in its Morristown office. Until recently the Co-Chair of the Labor & Employment Group at Edwards Angell Palmer Dodge LLP, Mr. Aron has represented employers in all facets of labor and employment matters for over 25 years. 

Mr. Aron has successfully defended employers in cases involving claims of discrimination on the basis of age, sex, sexual harassment, race, national origin, religion, sexual orientation and disability.  He is also experienced in handling claims that arise under various state and federal statutes involving diverse issues such as family medical leave, whistle blowing, wage and hour regulation, unlawful competition, violation of restrictive covenants and theft of trade secrets.

Mr. Aron regularly litigates in state and federal courts, administrative agencies and arbitration forums for both unionized and non-union employers.  He is recognized by his peers as an experienced trial attorney, having achieved the designation of Certified Civil Trial Lawyer from the New Jersey Supreme Court.  He is a frequent lecturer on labor and employment issues, and certified as a Senior Professional of Human Resources (SPHR), a designation attained through the HR Certification Institute.  In addition, Mr. Aron is a Fellow of the College of Labor & Employment Lawyers.

Mr. Aron’s practice consists of Fortune 100 companies with national and international operations as well as colleges, universities and emerging companies.  He advises employers in a wide range of industries, including telecommunications, insurance, pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, banking, retail, manufacturing and food distribution as well as non-profit and academic institutions.  He has been selected for inclusion in New Jersey Super Lawyers from 2005 – 2011 and has been recognized in Chambers USA.

Mr. Aron is admitted to the Bar in New Jersey, New York and Massachusetts.  He received his B.A. from Rutgers College and his J.D. from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law at Yeshiva University.
