Jackson Lewis Strengthens Kansas City Region and Pittsburgh Offices with New Additions of Justin M. Dean and Katelyn M. O’Connor

NEW YORK, NY (August 15, 2024) – Nationwide employment law firm Jackson Lewis P.C. is pleased to announce the addition of Justin M. Dean and Katelyn M. O’Connor as principals in its Overland Park and Pittsburgh offices, respectively. 

 

Justin joins the firm from Ogletree Deakins, where he was a shareholder. His practice focuses on litigating and advising on employment and personnel matters, including single-plaintiff and class action lawsuits for claims such as discrimination, harassment and retaliation under state and federal laws. He also handles Fair Labor Standards Act and state wage and hour violations, Fair Credit Reporting Act issues and data breaches. Justin regularly advises and trains management on compliance with employment laws, harassment prevention, performance counseling and documentation. He has both conducted and directed investigations of numerous employment-related complaints.

Justin earned his J.D. from the University of Missouri-Columbia School of Law and his A.B. from the University of Missouri-Columbia. 

Katie represents employers in wage and hour disputes and claims of discrimination under Title VII, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act, as well as state and local laws. She has successfully litigated individual as well as class and collective action claims before state and federal courts. Katie also provides ongoing legal counsel for clients in a multitude of industries. She reviews and revises employee policies, counsels management on termination decisions and has performed human resource investigations and wage audits. Katie routinely provides training to managers and supervisors in all areas of employment law.

Katie earned her J.D. from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law and her B.S. from Cornell University.
