Jackson Lewis Strengthens Employment Practice, Welcomes Michaelle L. Baumert to Omaha Office
OMAHA NE, (June 1, 2017) Jackson Lewis P.C., one of the country’s preeminent workplace law firms, is pleased to announce Michaelle L. Baumert has joined the firm’s Omaha office as a Principal. Ms. Baumert, who joins Jackson Lewis from Kutak Rock LLP, has more than 20 years of experience in labor and employment matters.

Ms. Baumert’s experience includes employment law, class actions, franchise vicarious liability, and traditional labor law. She provides day-to-day preventative counseling and assistance to employers regarding the full spectrum of labor and employment matters, including employment discrimination, harassment, wage and hour, disability leave management, reductions in force, policy drafting, employment contracts and severance agreements and workplace investigations.
Ms. Baumert also maintains a strong litigation and trial practice. Ms. Baumert has represented employers in National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) proceedings and in defending against unfair labor practice charges, in efforts to combat union organizing campaigns, and in negotiating collective-bargaining agreements. She has successfully defended employers through summary judgment, bench and jury trials, and appellate work in individual and class and collective actions involving harassment and discrimination claims, wage and hour, and various other employment-related disputes.
She frequently holds training sessions for executives, management and supervisors to provide valuable preventative advice and proactive approaches to everyday workplace problems, large and small. She also provides engaging and interactive training to employees.
Ms. Baumert received her B.A. and J.D. from the University of Nebraska.
