BTI’s report was based on telephone interviews conducted in March and July 2013 with more than 500 general counsel and chief legal officers or their direct reports. Several factors determined a firm’s inclusion in the scorecard, including the firm’s ability to establish long term relationships with clients, the clients’ vote of confidence, enthusiastic recommendations to their peers and superior levels of client satisfaction.
