Jackson Lewis Opens 35th Office

PORTSMOUTH, N.H., (April 28, 2008)— Jackson Lewis LLP, one of the country’s leading workplace law firms, announced today that it has opened a New Hampshire office in the Portsmouth area, marking its thirty-fifth office in the United States.

Debra Weiss Ford, who was a partner at Devine, Millimet & Branch, will join Jackson Lewis as a partner and Resident Manager of the New Hampshire office.  She is an AV rated attorney and has over 25 years of experience counseling and representing employers in litigation matters before the state and federal courts and administrative agencies in New Hampshire, Massachusetts and throughout New England. Ms. Ford also represents employers before the New Hampshire Commission for Human Rights, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, and both state and federal Departments of Labor. She has tried over 100 jury and non-jury cases in state and federal courts, and appears frequently in all courts, federal, state, and administrative, throughout the State of New Hampshire.

Ms. Ford has served on the faculty of the National Institute of Trial Advocacy (NITA) since 2004 and she holds the following distinctions:

Joining Ms. Ford as an associate in the Portsmouth office is Nancy Oliver who specializes in labor and employment relations and appellate litigation. Ms. Oliver has extensive experience counseling employers on state and federal labor and employment laws, including wage and hour, disciplinary action and documentation, termination, sexual harassment, and discrimination.
