NEW YORK, NY (November 2, 2009) – Jackson Lewis LLP, one of the country’s largest and fastest growing workplace law firms, announced Kevin Lauri has been named Managing Partner of the firm’s New York City office and Lori Bauer has been named the office’s Litigation Manager.
Mr. Lauri is succeeding Philip Rosen, who has been with Jackson Lewis since 1979 and Managing Partner of the office since 1989. Mr. Rosen will continue to lead the firm’s Labor Practice Group and remain active on the Management Committee. Ms. Bauer will take over the reins as litigation manager from James Williams, who joined the firm in 1974 and will continue to handle complex litigation as one of the firm’s most senior litigators.

Mr. Lauri, who specializes in employment litigation, joined the firm in 1995 and was elected to the partnership in 1998. He represents companies in single and multi-plaintiff cases, as well as collective and class actions in all types of discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage and hour, in addition to claims involving restrictive covenants and trade secrets.
He graduated with honors from Binghamton University and Brooklyn Law School. Mr. Lauri has been named a ‘leader in the field’ by the U.S. Legal 500, and since 2006 he has been recognized by The Practical Law Company as a “Recommended” attorney in New York.
Ms. Bauerjoined the firm in 1988 and was elected to the partnership in 1997. She devotes her time exclusively to counseling management in employment matters and litigating employment claims before administrative agencies and state and federal courts. Ms. Bauer’s practice includes defending employers in state and federal court on claims of discrimination, sexual harassment, breach of contract, retaliation, violation of whistleblower protections, wage/hour laws, family medical leave laws, wrongful discharge and related tort claims. In her counseling practice, she advises employers on issues such as best practice employment policies, disability management, reductions in force, privacy in the workplace, terminations, restrictive covenants, executive hiring and separations and performance management.
Ms. Bauer graduated from Cornell University, received her J.D. from Boston University School of Law and is admitted to practice law in New York and Massachusetts.
