Jackson Lewis Names Kristina H. Vaquera Norfolk Office Managing Principal
NORFOLK, VA (February 16, 2022) Nationwide employment law firm Jackson Lewis P.C. is pleased to announce Kristina H. Vaquera has been elevated to office managing principal in Norfolk. Kristina succeeds Thomas M. Lucas, who has stepped down to focus on serving his clients.
“Kristina originally joined us in 2009 and has been a terrific addition to our team since day one,” said Firm Chair Kevin G. Lauri. “We look forward to seeing how the office will continue to thrive under her leadership.”
Kristina previously served as office litigation manager in Norfolk, which she will continue to do in tandem with her role as office managing principal. Kristina’s practice focuses exclusively on labor and employment counseling and litigation. She represents employers in federal and state court lawsuits, agency investigations, and charges covering a wide range of statutes and subjects, including discrimination, civil rights, disability and more. As part of her counseling practice, she provides daily counseling and training to management to help employers avoid litigation.
Outside of her practice, Kristina speaks extensively on various employment topics, including to the Virginia State Bar, Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, Virginia Employment Commission, local chambers of commerce, and more.
Kristina earned her J.D. from American University and her B.A. from the University of Miami.

Tom passed the role of office managing principal to Kristina to focus on his growing practice. He has represented management exclusively in the full range of employment and labor law matters for more than 40 years. Since joining the firm in 2010, he has been a steadfast leader and had a significant hand in growing the firm’s presence in Virginia and nationwide.
