Jackson Lewis LLP Expands in Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA, PA (July 21, 2010) – Jackson Lewis LLP (www.jacksonlewis.com), one of the country’s largest and fastest-growing workplace law firms, announced that it has enhanced its ability to serve clients and businesses in the Philadelphia and South Jersey region by adding two dynamic attorneys to its Philadelphia office.  Alexander Nemiroff has joined the firm as Partner and Danielle N. Batchelor has joined as Associate.

Most recently a partner with Archer & Greiner, PC, Mr. Nemiroff represents companies in all areas of labor and employment law. Licensed in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York, Maryland, Virginia, and the District of Columbia,  Mr. Nemiroff litigates a wide variety of cases before federal and state courts and administrative agencies, including employment discrimination, technology law, wrongful discharge, wage and hour law, and other matters. He also has extensive experience in cases involving employment agreements, non-compete issues, trade secrets, and related matters.

Mr. Nemiroff is a frequent speaker on various employment topics. He has also written several published articles related to labor and employment issues.

Mr. Nemiroff is a graduate of the George Washington University Law School and Brandeis University. He is the Chairman of the South Jersey Advisory Board of Biz Buzz and is a member of the New Jersey Bar Association, Philadelphia Bar Association, Camden County Bar Association, and Montgomery County Bar Association. Mr. Nemiroff formerly served two terms as Co-Chair of the Employment Law Section for the Montgomery County Bar Association.

Ms. Batchelor, formerly an Associate at Ballard Spahr, focuses her practice on employment litigation before state and federal courts and administrative agencies.  She has represented employers in cases involving sex, age, disability and race discrimination, wrongful discharge, misappropriation of trade secrets, wage and hour disputes, sexual harassment and statutory leave claims.  She also advises management on employment related issues, including achieving compliance with federal, state, and local laws governing the employment relationship.

Ms. Batchelor is admitted to practice in New Jersey and Pennsylvania, as well as before the United States District Courts for the District of New Jersey and the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. She received a bachelor’s degree in biology and psychology from The College of New Jersey, and a Juris Doctor from Temple University Beasley School of Law.  During law school, she interned for the Honorable Franklin S. Van Antwerpen, United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit.
