Jackson Lewis LLP Continues Growth in Baltimore

BALTIMORE, MD (September 13, 2010) – Jackson Lewis LLP, one of the country’s largest and fastest growing workplace law firms, has announced that Eileen C. Riley and Eric S. Mueller have joined its Baltimore office.  The Baltimore office opened in January 2010 with a group of nine attorneys from DLA Piper and expanded again in May with the addition of three attorneys. Ms. Riley has joined as Of Counsel and Mr. Mueller as an Associate.

Ms. Riley is an AV-rated attorney who comes to Jackson Lewis from Serotte, Rockman & Wescott, P.A. in Towson, Md. Her practice is focused on labor and employment litigation with emphasis on discrimination, sexual harassment, wage/hour and wrongful discharge. She represents management-side clients before federal and state courts in Maryland, the District of Columbia, Virginia and Pennsylvania, and before numerous administrative agencies such as the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, National Labor Relations Board, U.S. Dept. of Labor and the Maryland Human Rights Commission.

Ms. Riley has had a distinguished military career as a Captain in the Judge Advocate General’s Corp of the United States Navy, where she served in Kuwait.  She will soon be retiring as a member of the U.S. Navy Reserve after a 30 year career. She is admitted to the bars of Indiana, Maryland, U.S. Court of Appeals for the Armed Forces, U.S. District Court of Maryland, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit. She graduated magna cum laude from Boston College and has a law degree from the University of Notre Dame.

Mr. Mueller was most recently an associate at Semmes Bowen & Semmes, P.C. in Baltimore.  He represents clients in employment litigation and counsels employers on diverse employment matters, such as wrongful termination, breach of contract, civil rights, ERISA, and class actions.  He also advises employers on issues related to copyright infringement, non-compete agreements and the proper implementation of employment policies and manuals.

Mr. Mueller graduated Phi Beta Kappa at the University of Richmond and received his law degree, cum laude, from the University of Georgia School of Law. There, he served for one year as Executive Editor of the Journal of Intellectual Property Law and participated in Russell Moot Court Competition. He is admitted to practice law in state and federal courts in Maryland and the Superior Court in Washington, D.C.
