Jackson Lewis LLP Adds Attorney in Miami

MIAMI, FL (April 19, 2011) – Jackson Lewis LLP, one of the country’s largest and fastest-growing workplace law firms, announced that Jeannette E. Albo has joined the firm’s Miami office as Of Counsel.

Since 1995, Ms. Albo has represented management exclusively in the defense of claims involving sexual harassment, Title VII, age and disability discrimination, workers’ compensation, whistleblower retaliation, Family and Medical Leave Act issues, unpaid overtime and other wages, breach of employment contracts and restrictive covenants, and employment torts, among others. She has also defended numerous cases brought under Title III of the Americans with Disabilities Act dealing with access to public accommodations. 

Ms. Albo also routinely advises a full range of employers, from Fortune 500 corporations to small business owners, on personnel matters, litigation avoidance, employment contracts, employee handbooks, and employee audits.  She is a frequent speaker before business, employer, and charitable associations.

Ms. Albo is a member of the Florida Bar and is admitted to practice in all Florida state courts as well as in U. S. District Courts for the Southern, Middle, and Northern Districts of Florida.  She was recognized as a 2009 Rising Star by Florida Super Lawyers Magazine.

Ms. Albo received her B.A. in English from the University of Florida and her J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School, where she served as an editor for The Michigan Journal of Gender and Law and clerked for the Honorable Gilberto Gierbolini of the U.S. District Court for Puerto Rico.
