NEW YORK, NY (March 9, 2020) Jackson Lewis P.C., one of the country’s preeminent workplace law firms, is pleased to announce Principals Terri Imbarlina Patak and Brian P. Lundgren have joined the firm, advancing the depth and breadth of its national litigation and labor management practices.
“Terri is a prominent practitioner and we are thrilled that she decided to join the firm,” said Pittsburgh Office Managing Principal Marla N. Presley. “She has an excellent reputation and is a trusted adviser in the employment litigation space. Terri’s presence will greatly enhance our growing employment litigation team in Pittsburgh.”
Ms. Patak has almost 30 years of experience as an employment and labor law attorney. She frequently represents employers in matters involving civil rights claims, wage and hour issues, and other employment-related matters from the administrative level through litigation. She also advises employers on preventive strategies. Ms. Patak regularly conducts training for companies in the areas of employment discrimination and harassment, best practices for human resources management hiring and firing policies, and union avoidance. Prior to working in employment law, she served as in-house counsel for Duquesne Light Company and previously worked as an Assistant City Solicitor with the City of Pittsburgh Law Department. Ms. Patak earned her J.D. from the University of Pittsburgh and her B.J. from the University of Missouri.
Mr. Lundgren also recently joined the firm as a Principal in the firm’s Seattle office. He practices exclusively as a management-side labor and employment attorney. Mr. Lundgren’s traditional labor law practice includes significant experience with the NLRB, arbitrations, union elections, collective bargaining, strikes, and advising employers on an array of complex labor issues. Throughout his career, Mr. Lundgren has, on countless occasions, successfully assisted employers in achieving dismissal of lawsuits, complaints and unfair labor practice charges. He also frequently defends employers against charges, investigations and complaints in other government agencies such as the EEOC, State Human Rights Department, the DOL, Mine Safety and Health Administration, and Washington Department of Labor and Industries. He likewise acts as lead counsel in state and federal courts in the defense of employers against lawsuits, including whistleblower claims, wage/hour disputes, discrimination and harassment claims, retaliation claims, and wrongful discharge allegations. Prior to attending law school, Mr. Lundgren served as an infantry squad leader in the United States Army from 1993-1996.
“Brian is an outstanding addition to our Seattle office,” said Office Managing Principal Bryan P. O’Connor. “He has significant experience advising clients in several industries, particularly in the construction industry. Brian has the strategic skills necessary to help our clients with their complex labor management needs, and his knowledge and success in labor relations nicely complements our office and the practice.”
