The NCAA Board of Governors has released a new policy governing institutional obligations to educate student-athletes and staff on sexual violence response and prevention.

Under the new policy, all colleges and universities must conduct annual education and training for student-athletes and athletics department employees. The NCAA is also requiring that each school’s president/chancellor, athletics director, and Title IX coordinator attest on an annual basis that the athletics department is fully knowledgeable of and compliant with institutional policies and processes regarding sexual violence.
