NEW YORK, NY (August 24, 2023) Nationwide employment law firm Jackson Lewis P.C. is pleased to announce the firm has appointed new office leadership in its Atlanta, Dallas, Minneapolis and Orlando offices.
In Atlanta, Justin R. Barnes will serve as office managing principal (OMP). Justin succeeds Todd Van Dyke, who is stepping down to focus on his growing practice. Eric R. Magnus will assume the role of office litigation manager (OLM). Justin is co-leader of the firm’s Wage and Hour group. He represents employers in federal and state courts and before administrative agencies on a variety of labor and employment-related issues, focusing on collective and class action wage and hour disputes and complex single plaintiff wage and benefit disputes.
“I am thrilled to take the reins in Atlanta,” said Justin. “Todd has established a strong groundwork to build upon, and I look forward to leading this talented team and continuing to focus on providing top-notch client service.”
In Dallas, Talley R. Parker will serve as OMP succeeding Paul E. Hash, who is stepping down to focus on his practice after eight years of service in the role. Michael J. DePonte will continue serving as OLM. Talley has been with Jackson Lewis for more than 13 years and has a diverse practice that includes providing advice and counsel to the Firm’s clients on a broad array of issues and litigating wrongful termination, wage and hour, and restrictive covenant claims in state and federal courts across the country.
“Paul has done a great job leading the Dallas office for the past eight years, and I am honored to follow his leadership legacy as I step into this new position,” said Talley. “I look forward to leading our Dallas team and continuing to serve as a trusted resource for my clients.”
In Minneapolis, Gina K. Janeiro has been appointed OMP succeeding Lee A. Lastovich, who served in the position for six years. Gina also currently serves as the OLM and is certified as a Labor and Employment law specialist through the Minnesota State Bar Association. Gina practices in all aspects of employment law and advises and represents clients in the areas of discrimination and harassment, disability management, employment contracts, wage and hour compliance, commission claims, noncompetition litigation, drug testing law, defamation, whistleblower and in closely held corporation and partnership disputes.
“It is an honor to be named to this position once again,” said Gina. “Thanks to Lee’s leadership over the past six years, Jackson Lewis’ presence continues to be well-established in the region. I am excited to lead the office and work, once again, alongside my colleagues to further expand our presence across the Midwest.”
Lastly, in Orlando, Amanda A. Simpson will serve as OMP, succeeding Joanne Braddock Lambert, who is stepping down to focus on her growing practice. Alicia M. Chiu will assume the role of OLM. In addition to her prior role as OLM, Amanda serves as the business development liaison in Orlando and Tampa, is a co-leader of the firm’s Restaurant industry group, Privacy and Data Litigation group and is a key member of the Class Actions and Complex Litigation Group. Amanda regularly represents clients on a wide range of employment issues, including wage and hour, independent contractor misclassification, background screening, data privacy, non-compete, whistleblower, discrimination and retaliation claims.
