Jackson Lewis Adds Versatile Partner to Washington, D.C. Team

VIENNA, Va. (March 10, 2008) ? Jackson Lewis LLP, one of the country's largest and fastest growing workplace law firms, has hired Garen E. Dodge as partner in its Washington, D.C., area office. Mr. Dodge is a litigator in federal and state courts, having successfully defended many Fortune 500 companies in matters involving discrimination, harassment, wage and hour, and retaliation. He also has experience representing clients before Congress and various federal agencies.

"Garen's extensive federal experience will be a tremendous asset to our clients," says John M. Remy, managing partner of the firm's Washington, D.C., area office. "Garen can assist clients in all phases ? before Congress and in rulemaking, with compliance, at pre-litigation agency stage, and in litigation. He truly can do it all."

As a partner with Jackson Lewis, Mr. Dodge will advise and represent employers in a wide variety of employment, labor, privacy, discrimination, harassment, wage and occupational safety and health matters, including Title VII of the Civil Rights Act and the Fair Labor Standards Act. Mr. Dodge will also counsel and assist employers in establishing workplace harassment, affirmative action and substance abuse programs. He will provide management training for employers on effective personnel and assist companies in establishing workplace "best practices."

Mr. Dodge is a frequent lecturer on, and author of, employment and labor law topics. His publication credits include The Metropolitan Corporate Counsel, BNA, Privacy & Data Security Law Journal and theEmployee Relations Law Journal. He's addressed employers at conferences around the country on such subjects as workplace safety, harassment and discrimination.

Prior to joining Jackson Lewis, Mr. Dodge was with the firm Wiley Rein LLP, where he chaired the firm's Employment and Labor practice group.

Mr. Dodge is admitted to practice in the District of Columbia, Virginia, Wisconsin, the Supreme Court of the United States, the U.S. Courts of Appeals for the Fourth, Seventh and District of Columbia Circuits, and the in the U.S. District Courts for the District of Columbia, Eastern District of Virginia, Western District of Virginia and the Eastern District of Wisconsin. He received his J.D. from the Marshall-Wythe School of Law, The College of William & Mary, and his B.A. from the University of Wisconsin at Green Bay, summa cum laude.
