The Virginia Safety and Health Codes Board passed a first-in-the-nation standard to address COVID-19 in workplaces. Virginia Occupational Safety and Health (VOSH), the state counterpart to the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), will now enforce a standard that mandates — and in some instances exceeds — U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and OSHA guidance. The new standard covers most private employers in Virginia, as well as all state and local employees.
Join Jackson Lewis attorney Courtney Malveaux for a discussion about the new COVID-19 requirements, with a heavy emphasis on those unique to Virginia. Courtney is a member of the Virginia Safety and Health Codes Board and is the immediate Past Labor Commissioner. He is also a former President of the National Association of Government Labor Officials.
