In this webinar, we will address the new Subcontracting Reform Initiative in Mexico published on April 23rd and discuss the immediate and wide-ranging legal consequences for employers with operations in Mexico. The extensive subcontracting arrangements currently used by many companies will as a result of this reform be limited to specialized services or work which is not part of the legal corporate purpose or main economic activity of the employer. This initiative requires restructuring to be undertaken within 90 days of the law’s enactment, with tax and criminal consequences in case of breach.
