The U.S. Department of Labor has issued its final rule revising the minimum salary requirements for application of the FLSA’s “white-collar” exemptions from overtime. The USDOL estimates 4.0 million workers will be impacted and that it will result in a transfer of wealth from employers to employees of $1.5B in the first year. Justin Barnes and Jeffrey Brecher, Leaders of Jackson Lewis P.C.’s Wage and Hour Practice Group, will provide attendees with an overview of the new rule’s requirements and offer guidance on strategies to comply, including changes that do not result in an increase to payroll costs.
This program is intended for bona fide members of management. Jackson Lewis reserves the right to limit attendance or deny registration at its discretion.
