Attorneys at Jackson Lewis have extensive opportunities to work directly with and gain the trust of attorneys and partners. For example, we typically assign only two or three attorneys and one paralegal to litigation matters. Jackson Lewis frequently sponsors or participates in seminars for management or in-house attorneys. Attorneys are actively involved in such seminars, which help to foster relationships with current or potential clients and to develop expertise in specialized workplace law issues. We also encourage the development of relationships between attorneys in and among all of our offices. We have a sophisticated wide-area computer network that provides e-mail and the electronic exchange of documents among our offices and with our clients. Finally, we hold an annual retreat where all Jackson Lewis attorneys, and their families can meet face-to-face. Summer AssociatesOur summer associate program provides an opportunity for us to assess the summer associate's work performance and for the summer associate to assess our firm. Summer associates receive work assignments typically handled by first-year associates and meet regularly with senior attorneys. Summer associates are encouraged to attend depositions, trials and client meetings. We also sponsor cultural and sports outings for our summer associates.
